On the morning of September 18 2025, China’s self-developed two-ton-class large freight eVTOL aircraft, Kareiou Kareio from AutoFlight, successfully completed a cross-city, low-altitude unmanned freight transport mission. Carrying hundreds of kilograms of fresh blueberry juice and express parcels, the aircraft flew from Huaining County, Anhui Province, to Yaohai District in Hefei City in approximately one hour.

This achievement marks the first unmanned cross-city low-altitude freight transport mission conducted by a ton-class eVTOL aircraft over land. Currently, Hefei City has established 98 regularly operated low-altitude logistics routes. The photo shows working personnel unloading the cargo. (Photo by Han Wuyuan/China News Service)
